Mallory's Lost Tooth

If you ask Mallory what she wants for Christmas she says an Innotab 2 and to lose three teeth.  I'm not sure what Santa has in store, but I don't know if those three teeth will come out before Christmas.  It hasn't been looking too promising.  This week, however, Miss Determination has been working her bottom two teeth like a mad woman.  While we were at Ross's last wrestling match tonight, she decided she was going to get it out when we got home.

(The poor little thing had a run-in with an exercise band handle last night that resulted in a swollen and bruised forehead and bridge of the nose.)

I wrapped the floss around her tooth, and before I could get my camera settings ready, she yanked it out!  I don't really think it hurt her as much as it surprised her!

 

Little sister was really worried about big sister and ran to comfort her.

 

Then when she asked to hold Mallory's tooth she tried to put it with her own teeth!

Good Luck Wishes From Our Kids

After nearly ten years as an insurance agent with American Family Insurance in Bonne Terre, Edward has been asked to take over an agency in our hometown.  We are very excited and grateful for this new opportunity.  We think this will be a wonderful move for our family.  His new commute to work is two minutes!

 

Elizabeth is always so good about encouraging others with posters and cards.  She secretly created this big banner for Edward last night, recruiting every one's involvement.  It was displayed at the bottom of the stairs for Edward to see when he came down bright and early this morning before anyone else was up.

 

I was the last one to sign the banner late last night.  I was cracking up when I saw what the kids wrote!

She had been asking me to take off her training wheels since the day Drew mastered the two-wheeler.  I put her off as long as I could to give him a little self-esteem boost.  She nailed it on the fourth try.

Crazy Things I've Heard This Week

*Mom doesn't like messes. I know. I've been here five years.  (Mallory instructing Lucy on life)

*I don't care if somebody's hands been in it. It still good. (Lady at Golden Corral, upon learning the chocolate fountain was shut down due to someone sticking his finger in the chocolate.  Verbatum.)

*What?!  I gave candy to a sick person, and I don't get a treat?!  (Mallory)

*Do you know how I get pee all over the place sometimes?  I try to do tricks. Sometimes I stand back far and try to aim into the toilet, and sometimes I stand on the seat. (Drew, after being told once again to clean up after himself in the bathroom)

*Sorry that I'm good, but I don't like this talent. (Drew, complaining about piano lessons.  I tried to tell him he is very good.)

*Drew:  Mom, something is growing on my chest.  (He was very concerned.)
Me:  It just looks like a mosquito bite.
Drew:  Oh. I was afraid I was growing a third nipple or something.

*Giving the little girls a bath, Lucy rolled onto her belly and wanted me to wash her with this soap by saying, "Elmo's World. My bum." while pointing to her bum.
